Powdered Irish moss (Carrageenan).

Powdered Irish moss (Carrageenan):

105 grm bag

6,95 €

Irish moss is the mucilage recommended by Josef Halfer for the practice of marbling because its homogeneity and duration.

At present it is possible to obtain it in powder form. It is prepared easily dissolving them with a mixer in warm or cold water. Place first the powder at the bottom of the receptacle for dissolving it and then spill the water above so that lumps don’t go out.

My recommendation is to use it with distilled water and to use a proportion of 7 grams of product per liter of water. The dose above is adapted therefore to prepare 15 liters of bath.

To increase the duration of the bath adds a little bit of formaldehyde in dissolution of 40 %, as soon as the product was dissolved. Not to breathe on the bath at the moment of the addition of this preservative.

Preserve it in a fresh and dry place.
